North West Shocks TikTok With Zombie Makeover

1w ago

North West recently sent TikTok into a frenzy with a striking zombie makeover that immediately grabbed public attention. The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West showcased a fearless aesthetic, confirming her knack for pushing fashion and beauty boundaries.

On July 3, 2026, a series of videos dropped on the joint TikTok account she shares with her mother. The clips featured North fully transformed, complete with blue lipstick adorned with a skull motif, custom black teeth grills she has reportedly worn since 2025, and blue pigtails that stretched down to her waist. Her ensemble was rounded out with a Victorian baby doll dress, spiked bracelets, and each fingernail sporting a distinct, bold design.

One video captured North walking directly toward the camera, flaunting her full zombie look set to Lil Uzi Vert's 2017 hit "XO Tour Llif3," a track known for its emo rap and trap sound exploring themes of relationship struggles. Another clip showed her lip-syncing to Eiffel 65's 1998 Eurodance classic "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" while getting up close to the lens, a song often interpreted as conveying a sense of pervasive sadness. A third video featured her dancing to Kesha's "Grow a Pear." Reports indicate North captioned one of the clips with a zombie emoji, making the intentionality of her creative choice clear.

This latest visual statement is part of North West's ongoing journey of self-expression, which has seen her consistently experimenting with her personal style and body modifications. Her venture into body art began in September 2025 with a dermal piercing on her hand. Since then, she has added a bridge piercing, cheek studs, and several finger piercings, marking a clear evolution in her aesthetic choices.

The most recent addition to her body modifications came on June 26, 2026, when North debuted two "angel bite" lip piercings on her upper lip at the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week. Her appearance at the event, where she also sported an electric blue wig and an array of punk-inspired accessories, sparked considerable public discussion and criticism aimed at her mother, Kim Kardashian, regarding her parenting approach.

British rapper Skepta, whose full name is Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr., publicly came to North's defense amidst the backlash. He specifically addressed an interaction at Paris Fashion Week where French influencer and model Matteo Sinet reportedly leaned in for a hug, despite North offering a handshake. Skepta took to social media, stating, "A blind man could see she wanted a handshake." He further expressed his dismay, writing, "My fans know I try to stay out of [people's] business but the way grown men, complete strangers try to use North makes me sick." Emphasizing her age, he asserted, "She is 13-years-old," and "And she put her hand out for a handshake, you don't ignore that." Skepta concluded his remarks by urging, "WOW!! Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!"

Kim Kardashian has previously spoken about her approach to North's self-expression, noting her non-judgmental stance. Public statements indicate she tries not to pay attention to external criticism. She has been quoted saying that while North does have many rules, "the one area is I do let her express herself and I let her do that. I love her for that," underscoring her support for her daughter's creative freedom.

Beyond her evolving style, North has also been making significant strides in her burgeoning music career. In February 2026, she signed with the independent music company Gamma, the same label her father, Ye, partnered with for his album "BULLY." Her solo single, "Piercing on My Hand," dropped on February 6, 2026, followed by her debut EP, "N0rth4evr," in May 2026. Last month, she performed her first solo music festival set at Lyrical Lemonade's Summer Smash, showcasing her growing presence in the music scene.

Looking ahead, North is set to embark on a 14-city co-headlining tour with Molly Santana, dubbed the "Molly x North Kimokawaii Tour." The tour is scheduled to kick off on August 5, 2026, in Dallas and will conclude on August 27, 2026, in Los Angeles. This continuous stream of creative projects, from her bold fashion statements to her developing music career, highlights North West's increasing influence and determination to carve out her own unique identity in the public eye.
